# Billing Details

> Manage company billing information and tax details

Manage company billing information and tax details.

## Billing Details Card

**Company Information:**

* **Name**: Company or organization name
* **Address**: Full billing address
  * Line 1 (street address)
  * Line 2 (apartment/suite, optional)
  * Postal Code + City
  * Country
* **Email**: Billing contact email
* **VAT Country**: Country for VAT purposes
* **Tax ID**: VAT number or tax identification

**Actions:**

* **Update Billing Details Button**: Opens Stripe Customer Portal
  * Update company name
  * Change billing address
  * Update email address
  * Add/update VAT number
  * Change tax country

**Empty State:**

* Message: "No billing details found"
* Action: "Add Billing Details" button → Opens Stripe Customer Portal

  **VAT & Tax**: Billing details are used for invoices and tax calculations. Ensure VAT number is correct for EU businesses to avoid incorrect charges.

**Why Update Billing Details:**

* Company name changed
* Moved to new office/address
* Need VAT number on invoices
* Change billing contact email
* Update tax country for compliance

  **Invoice Accuracy**: Billing details appear on all invoices. Ensure information is accurate before making purchases to avoid invoice corrections.

## Common Use Cases

### Updating Billing Details

1. Navigate to **Platform** → **Billing** → **Billing Details** tab
2. Click **"Update Billing Details"** button
3. Stripe Customer Portal opens
4. Update company information, address, VAT number
5. Save changes
6. Return to Valiyou
7. Updated details appear on future invoices
