Your Profile
Your profile is where you manage your personal information, avatar, language preferences, and basic account settings. This guide covers the essentials to get you started quickly.

Accessing Your Profile

Click on your avatar in the top right corner of any page, then select “Profile” from the dropdown menu.

Your avatar appears throughout the platform — in the top navigation bar, team member lists, audit logs, and collaboration features.

Open Profile

Click your current avatar (or initials placeholder) → Profile

Click on Avatar

Click the large circular avatar in the Profile Avatar section

Choose File

Select a photo from your computer (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP under 5MB)

Crop Photo

Use the crop tool to frame your photo:
  • Drag to reposition
  • Scroll to zoom in/out
  • Click Crop when ready
Your new avatar appears immediately across the entire platform. To remove it later, click the avatar again and select Remove current photo.

Personal Information

Update Your Name

Your display name appears in team lists, audit logs, and system notifications.

Open Profile

Click your avatar → Profile

Edit Name

Update the Name field under Personal Information

Save

Click Save Personal Info button

Update Your Email

Your email is used for login, notifications, and password resets.

Edit Email

Update the Email Address field

Verify

Check your inbox and click the verification link
Changing your email affects all organizations you belong to. You’ll be logged out and must log in with your new email.

Change Language

Choose between English and Dansk (Danish) for all UI text, date formatting, and system emails.

Click your avatar → Profile

Select Language

Choose English or Dansk from the dropdown

Save

Click Save Personal Info — the interface updates immediately

Quick Troubleshooting

Avatar Not Updating

If your avatar doesn’t update after upload:
  1. Check file size - Must be under 5MB
  2. Check file format - Use JPG, PNG, GIF, or WebP
  3. Refresh the page - Click your avatar in the top bar to see the update
  4. Clear browser cache - If you still see the old avatar

Email Verification Not Received

If you don’t receive the email verification:
  1. Check spam folder - Verification emails may be filtered
  2. Wait a few minutes - Email delivery can be delayed
  3. Check email address - Make sure it’s typed correctly
  4. Contact support - Email support@valiyou.com for help
